Teesside is a very active Branch, typically holding 20 ~ 25  events each year. In addition, we have a sizeable travelling contingent who add several more events to this total by participating in symposiums, open days, etc. being held by other Branches/Zones.

We hold regular meetings, usually with a visiting speaker, often with slides and sometimes with plants for sale. The meetings are rarely of a very technical nature, with speakers often describing trips to see the plants in their natural habitat, discussing their own collections or cultivation techniques. The Branch organises other activities, such as greenhouse open days, plant sales, displays, shows, trips to specialist nurseries and occasional symposiums. In addition, the Branch has an extensive library which is open to paid up Society members who regularly attend our meetings.

New members or visitors are very welcome at any of our Branch Meetings and admission is FREE! Please come along and give us a try, then, if you decide you want to attend more often, you will be invited to take out membership of the Society nationally.
