Again held in Kirkby Village Hall. Speakers : Graham Charles, Derek Tribble and Paul Hoxey. Admission (including lunch and refreshments) just £15.

Branch Meeting - Ray Stephenson (58 Years of Growing Succulents)

3rd May Zone One Show (Hosted by Northumbria Branch)
At St Aidan's Community Centre, top of Polwarth Drive, Brunton Park, Gosforth. Staging 10.00 a.m., open to non-competitors at noon.

Public Plant Sale - Durham University Botanic Gardens, Durham

Held in conjunction with the "Friends of the Botanic Garden" Plants, etc., who also be sell garden plants.

12th May
Branch Meeting - Graham Walker (Back to the USA)
This talk (originally scheduled for July) replaces the previously announced visit of Mal Weobley who has unfortunately been obliged to cancel.

16th May

Social Afternoon - Fir Trees Nursery, Stokesley

Visit the nursery, stroll around the garden and have a chat with other members.

22nd May

Public Plant Sale - Stockton Market, High Street, Stockton-on-Tees

Plants, etc., for sale at keen prices, free advice available. Come along and talk to us about growing cacti and about what our society offers.

6th June

Public Plant Sale - Guisborough Town Fair, Gisborough Hall Hotel, Guisborough

Free advice, competitively priced plants. Come along and meet our members.

Branch Meeting - John Foster (Succulent Senecios)

20th June

Public Plant Sale - Yarm Charities Fair, High Street, Yarm

The afternoon is organised by Yarm Lions, we will be selling plants, but there's also much more to see at this fun event.

10th July Branch Meal, Station Hotel, Picton

Branch Meeting - Zone One Quiz

This annual event is held in conjunction with Northumbria Branch. It was originally scheduled for January, but had to be postponed due to bad weather. The talk previously announced for the July meeting will now take place on May 12th.

18th July Greenhouse Open Afternoon, Tony Thorp
A chance to have relaxing afternoon, meeting other members socially while looking at Tony's collection of plants.

24th July Branch Show, Stewart Park, Middlesbrough
Our annual show, accompanied by plant sales. Admission via show entry.

1st August Greenhouse Photography Workshop (Part One)
Spend an afternoon at our chairman's house learning how to take better pictures of your plants. Part Two (how to enhance your images on your computer) will be arranged for a date later in the year.

8th August Chairman's "At Home"
An afternoon event which offers the chance to meet other Branch members socially and to discuss anything - even cacti!

11th August Table-Top Plant Sale and Social
A slightly different format this year, but there should still be bargains so bring a box.... Venue Welbury Village Hall, 7.00pm start.

21/22nd August
Public Plant Sale - Hartlepool Horticultural Show, Borough Hall, Middlegate, Headland, Hartlepool

Plants, etc., for sale at keen prices, free advice available.

Come along look at our display. This is probably your last chance to buy our competitively priced plants this year and to get free advice about growing them.
