Borzicactus aureispinus

Borzicactus aureispinus

Borzicactus is a genus ravaged by taxonomists, many other genera have been lumped into it, several of which are not universally accepted by growers. Notwithstanding that, Borzicactus (Hildewintera) aureispinus is a beautiful plant if grown well. It needs good light, plenty of water in the summer, and a hanging basket from which it can grow its golden trailing stems. It takes a few years to reach maturity, but after that it will produce a succession of orange flowers virtually year round.
