Notocactus submammulosusNotocacti are another of the most popular genera of cacti in cultivation, particularly with beginners. These plants from Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Argentina present few difficulties in cultivation, though a little protection from the sun is helpful. They flower readily and in most cases produces sumptuous, shiny, yellow flowers with contrasting purple stigma.
