Sulcorebutia canigueralii v minima

Sulcorebutia canigueralii v minima

Sulcorebutia canigueralii v minima is much smaller bodied than S. canigueralii, but also its flowers do not share the gorgeous red and yellow bi-colour. Indeed most works do not refer to this variety so perhaps there is some doubt over the validity of the name. Notwithstanding that, it is a superb plant which forms a dense clump of tiny heads and produces a fabulous show of its gorgeous flowers.
