Crithmum maritimum

Crithmum maritimum

Crithmum maritimum has apparently fooled a lot of people over the years. Technically it should not be included here as it is a "sea carrot" in the Umbelliferae and, though its leaves are thickened, it is not generally considered to be a true succulent. The picture was taken near Fonte da Areia on the north coast of Porto Santo.
