Sempervivum arachnoideum, from the Alps, Apennines and the Pyrenees, is a very attractive plant if grown well. Unfortunately it is all to easy to treat it "too well" and it will then bloat and open its rosettes, losing its attractive tight, white, cobweb like appearance.
